At Microsoft, I identified a systemic gap in how product teams across a complex multi-brand ecosystem translated design intent into consistent, scalable execution. To address this, I initiated and led the strategic design direction for the Brand Lookbook — a high-visibility series that aligned global product teams under a unified creative vision, functioning as both a design system reference and a cross-team communication tool.
As Brand Lead for Microsoft Teams, I owned the end-to-end UX consistency of the product's visual identity — authoring and socializing comprehensive standards for internal teams and external partners that defined interaction principles, motion behavior, and brand expression across every user touchpoint. These guidelines reduced ambiguity for design and engineering teams and ensured a coherent user experience at scale.
My deepest systems work was on the Cloud Motion framework, where I translated complex product behaviors into a simplified design language that partner teams could implement independently. The resulting Quick Start Guideline significantly reduced production friction across Microsoft's core ecosystem — Teams, M365, Azure, Viva, Dynamics, Power Platform, and Security — enabling faster, more consistent design decisions without sacrificing quality or user experience standards.
